You did that THE FIRST TIME you played while still learning the games basics?
and I did not want to deal with the bio garbage have also made a lot by hand to quickly get away from the crap and actually it is logical that quickly comes what better to generate electricity.
You probably want to get into Coal Power as soon as you can. It's more work to setup, but once it's automated and stable - you don't have to micromanage biomass ever again.
Fuel generators need heavy frames, motors, and computers. And there are the refineries needed for the fuel and plastic. You're looking at a ridiculous amount of hand crafting to try and "skip" coal power.
How did you go about that?
And eventually you'll start running out of biomass materials, and have to go further and further out to get more leaves / wood / etc.
300 MW is only 4 Coal Generators, and that's really not a lot. Depending on the node quaility (and if you overclock the Miner), you can get a LOT more generators running out of it. .... and unlike anything running on Biomass or Liquid Biofuel - Coal is limitless and fully automated.
Yes, using Power Poles (which can have 4 power line connections at basic tier) - you can connect as many generators and machines together as you want.
Just be aware that if the active MW consumption of all connected machines is greater than the MW you are generating, the circuit trips and all connected machines shut down.
So if you're only generating 120 MW of power at most, and you connect 150 MW of machines.... *poof*.
especially if you have also built the whole map with rails because they are also at the same time Strom Führend.
I did what I would call a minimal coal plant run, unintentionally, then realized I had more than I thought. But coal is pretty simple to set up unless you are trying to pump water upward(which is doable but something a new player might not get right off.) Hooking up two hook ups is not all that hard and should be down by now with assemblers. Location is the main issue with coal plants.
That is also my most important rule
Do not lead the water with large distances but the coal to the water.
I have in several places coal-fired power plants and even always all overclocked to 250% and have no problems.
