They dont have a hard date but once they have it I am I sure they will let us know.
they are only 7 developers so some things go slow but progress is being made so we will hopefully see something in the coming weeks.
The only people to get update 8 in June is going to be experimental users like myself and others. The people who are playing the stable branch of early access will probably see it in July or later because the devs have said the experimental cycle this time around might be longer then normal for a variety of reasons all occurring at the same time.
So if you dont mind bugs and doing bug reports you will get update 8 in its full buggy glory sometime this month with luck. If you prefer more stable version of update 8 then I would hazard a guess of late July or early august. Again this is only my guess based on what the devs have said and past experience of having played this game since update 2.
LOL...
They have said they are aiming for June, they have not guaranteed it
Whats on June 11th?
Its a Sunday so it not going to be a game release as no games release on Sundays...typically they work M-F and the most popular day is Tuesday or Thursdays for releases. No one lies Mondays...and Fridays are bad because if anything is buggy they have to work weekend to fix it and programmers like working banking hours.
As for holidays there seems to be quite a few.
I wont try to list them all but here is a web site:

but maybe he is excited for "Corn on the Cobb Day"
Bethesdas Starfield showcase
Haha, Its the Starfield reveal but I dunno corn on the cobb day might be a better bet as you never know with Bethesda games if its gonna be any good.
They gave a TENTATIVE timeline of June. Can be later than June too. Learn to be patient. Just because it is a game for you, doesn't mean its same for them too. It is an end-product service for the devs. They would not want to deliver half-baked stuff, just like you would not want an unsatisfied customer in your line of work.
