How to convert Mk++ to Industrial Evolution mod (1.0+)
As the title says, I wrote a guide aimed at players who have many Mk++ machines and want to convert them to those provided by the Industrial Evolution mod.

It will be nice to hear some feedback.

Seeing this post prompted me to investigate this Mod. It looks great, nice enhancements without going over the top with a ton clutter in the build menus.

Excellent work, looking forward to seeing where you continue to go with this.

More documentation would be great. I cant find any specific information on the Drone Ports like capacity of Ports and Drones also whats the purpose of the (INPUT) and (OUTPUT) versions of the ports?

Any chance you will be adding Blueprinting to IE for larger prints? If so I would suggest user selectable sizes, not everything wants to be built in a square.

I do see in the Build Menu MK1 and MK2 Drones have 18 and 108 slots respectively.

Documentation is something many developers hate to do; but thanks for your suggestion, I'll try to improve it. For the time being, check the Mod Config in main menu, there are lots of options with tooltips

They have dedicated input/output ports

I have no plan for that at the moment. My current mods are already keeping me quite busy

Appreciate the reply. I can imagine you are busy with such a mod as this encompasses quite a lot. I shut off a couple other pretty big mods after seeing yours.

I have looked in the Mod Config of the Main Menu and the only thing there for Ports is changing Power consumption. Nothing on number of slots. I could count them I suppose but I will just go with 'A Lot' :-)

I see on the I/O Dedicated after building one. So these will operate like Train Platforms for double throughput using two connections. Nice.

One other question if you have time.

MK4 full boosted Reactor wants 2400 Cu meters Water/M. Is there some way we can supply that? As far as I can see on the surface Pipes are still limited to 600/M and there is only one connection on the Reactor.

Actually with Shards the reactor can go up another 250% so that would be 6,000 Cu M/Minute for water.

To overcome that I made a mod called Heavy Fluid Overhaul https://ficsit.app/mod/HeavyFluids

Which pairs very well with Heavy Solid Overhaul, but isn't a hard requirement.

Thanks, I saw a few different mods taking their own approaches. Just trying to figure things out for my next build. Trying out all sorts of stuff to see what works best for my goals while waiting for a Stable 0.8 and Blueprints Mod to get updated using the time until then to prototype some ideas.

Massive factory with smaller impact on my computer is what I am after and many of your mods lean towards that. Likely buying you a cup of coffee before long. Appreciate what you have added to the game and of course your help here.

I tried to look at the site, but apart from the page that was linked, most other pages gave internal errors.

Is your internet restricted? or are you using a VPN/Proxy? All config files are hosted on GitHub.

I have read there but not gone through with the steps to be able to post. I certainly will though.

Looking forward to getting back to the Game using your Mods.

OP here, sorry for the necro bump. This guide was originally written for U8, but has been updated for 1.0.

It's been 3 months since 1.0 was released and Mk++ mod seems to be dead, this guide should be more useful now.
