If the Belts also carried said power like Rails that might be pretty cool, eliminate all the wiring.
Don't get be started on replacing the belts themselves. These things wear over time.
I get it though, nothing in game currently wears out or requires oil. Yet nearly everything requires power.
It could be as simple as belts being connecting to buildings that are already powered. I mean a miner for instance isn't going to put anything on the belt unless it's powered right?
Thats the only way i see it being even remotely plausible.. zero (or next to zero) impact on current game mechanics.
And hopefully a solution to the fps consumption
It would be WAY too tedious.
I have not tested the mod and for me that is also nothing I think the factories would then no longer work for me because the power is missing
