is there anyway to change the color of the health bar?

after many hours of playing, i'm starting to get oled burn-in. the static and very bright white isn't good for oled's.

I dont know if it needs to be fixed. It sounds like the issue is your choice of computer monitor.

Burn in can damage all monitor types from what I know. For example, two my normal IPS displays have the windows logo and icons burned into the bottom portion of the screen after a few years of use. The issue stems from when there is a static image, especially with high contrast, that is there for a long period of time. If you play this game long enough, especially with HDR, you to will probably face burn in issues.

This was a severe problem for the Sony PSP2 for example, which had the GUI burn into the hand held's screen after a period of time.

Screens are getting brighter as HDR becomes a regular feature in gaming monitors/TV's, both of which are becoming common gaming displays. OLED and full array/dynamic back lighting are two of the main emerging technologies found in them, its just that Oled is just more susceptible to it.

It is up to the developers to adapt to current display standards and some of the issues that come along with them, especially if the game is the type that can span hundreds of hours over a long period of time. The fix is quite simple, less high contrast HUD elements, possible use of transparency and or the ability to toggle them on or off when needed.

its a matter of priority and bandwidth, it's causing burning FOR YOU. Since the number of people complaining about it is incredibly small why would they prioritize it over the dozens of other things they have to work on?...even more so when they have a tiny team.

Instead of hoping for something that's unlikely to happen anytime soon, though it's a perfectly good idea to bring it up as a problem, why not look for a solution like colorveil that can put a tinted overlay on your screen in order force a color change yourself?

Yes and instead of incessantly repeating the same thing like a broken record act like a rational human by making a change request and find a solution to your problem for the interim that would take a couple minutes of googling at most...which is exactly what the solution I gave you would accomplish when you again replied with your broken record spiel that doesn't get anything done.

Unless you have a REALLY old oled screen, this should not be an issue at all. Modern screens are highly resistant to burn-in. Also, what company even puts screen this susceptible to burn-in in a LAPTOP? Not to mention you bought it, which means you should've been well aware of the risks.

I'm afraid game developers are not responsible for your poor hardware choices and designing their games around aging tech or one with quirks that made it not a good fit for playing video games. Also, you're talking about static health bars as if they are something horrible, it's literally a STAPLE DESIGN in video games. They are EVERYWHERE, hello? :csd2huh:

I can say a thousand times that water boils at 50 degrees celsius and it will still be wrong. Not really sure what the purpose of repeating the same thing is other than making yourself look like you have a mental capacity of a child. You're not helping your case at all.

My condolences then. May you, eventually, grow up into a proper and well functioning adult.
