Missing information for the game
Now i know a long time dev say they do not want to add a control room wher u can see exact production .
This is BS dev we play the game u just make it we want a control room so we can tell exactly how many of what we produce , alt tab and using google docs for a game is not a option this game is fun but i will never play it again. After 400 h of working on my factory i take a brake for a few months now when i come back i need to go manual to all my buildings to count all my machines to remember what i have done what i produce this is BS is stupid and dos not make sens , if u take a brake from your game and u lost your google docs you are F game cannot be play u will loss at list 5h to go back in old factory to see whet u produce. I have 10000 constructors now i need to click on eac of them to see what they produce WTF DEV ? Games shod be fun to play not a second job give us the option to see what we produce and where make in the menu for die hard morons with no life who want to play a video game with a actually pen and paper Me and allot of players do not want to use 3th pray software to be able to play this game

Just because of that post I am for the devs to NEVER add this to the game.

yeah sorry if i sound to aggression :)) just got a lil rage when i see the game i like has become unplayable what im sups to do now start again loos 400h or go and check all my 10k machines :))) and start a new google doc hahah . sorry guys for the way i express my self :)
Any way devs we need a control room to see how much ore we extract how many iron rods we make etc..,.. when the factory gets huge there is no way to have exact number of what u do makes no sense i drop down from space and i use google docs to mange my production .......

I do kinda like your idea, even maybe as a late game addition.
Though I am sure some mod will or might already do add it eventually if the devs don't.

this are 2 things i hate about this game
1. They say u shod build vertical from T 1 but u get no tools to do it u struggle to walk and jump and build horrible experiment till you get the hoover .
2 . no actually production number , had to look in google dos every 5 min alt b tab my pc after a few alt tabs i get a error and game closes ( <3 Windows 11)

Do not understand why u do not have that hoover ♥♥♥♥ from get go or at list a jet pack or FFS give us stairs from get go at list

This is why you use signs to keep notes of factories. Label throughput of inputs and outputs, sink lines so you can repurpose them later, and write out requirements for projects before you start them, like a checklist. Same as you would do in real life.
Spreadsheets are certainly helpful tools but there's nothing you can't do just fine without them, they just simplify the process.

I'm sure I heard Snutt a few mnnths back saying they're planning some kind of factory overview thing but wasn't sure how it would work or what it would look like. So don't give up hope OP.

The latest from the devs on the subject of a production overview: https://youtu.be/BF1QRvyVbJ4

Vertical building pre hoverpack is quite doable, you can use ramps to build access to higher floors.

A production overview is clearly very important to you, but please bear in mind that not everyone will necessarily agree. So just because you believe it's essential doesn't mean everyone does, so doesn't mean you should expect it to be added to the game. Plenty of us play happily without needing an overview.

Search the official QA site at https://questions.satisfactorygame.com/ and find existing posts for it, and upvote them.
That site is how the devs guage how many players want a feature, and therefore how likely they are to add it.

- Building vertical is fine without hoverpack, I do it all the time, (never use it in fact).
- Agree that we need better management tools, llke in real factories to reduce busywork.
... you should be more respectful though.

Excel, in-game signs, and proper planning are your friend. Build self-contained productions, with simple inputs and outputs. The machines/productions in the middle can be forgotten once the production is done. It doesn't matter that Factory A is producing 48 iron plates, 64 iron rods, 200 screws, 96 wire, etc. All that matters is 240 iron ore goes in and 8 RIPs, 8 Rotors, and 4 Modular Frames come out. Track the inputs and outputs, and forget the middle. Use signs to label when needed, and plan the math for every production, from start to finish, before you start building.

There is no magic button for a logistical overview (yet), but a spreadsheet does a decent job. With proper planning, you should already know each stage of production for a given product line, factory, or power plant, and if you treat those facilities as singular objects akin to something you'd build in an RTS game with simple inputs and outputs, you can easily conceptualize your logistical needs.

Satisfactory calculator can give you statistics on your save files, including specific production capacity and consumption of materials. Don't know how accurate it is but the data can be given to you with a third party tool at least

When did the devs say they dont want to do this sort of feature. I know I seen it on stream qa sessions and for the most part its a idea that has been suggested its just they havent put any time into figuring out how it would work because they are too busy with other features at the moment. They may do something in the long run but its not yet high enough on their priority list.
To say they are against it I havent seen anything like that myself. Do you know what dev stream they said this?
