They could just multiply everything by 0.1, it's an easy calculation to make for every number in the game currently. The only downside that I can see is that it would make things a bit less satisfying from aesthetics perspective. A getting 6 ore per minute from a miner would look a bit underwhelming. Cutting everything by half though would be a pretty good compromise.
MinerMk5 mod on ficsit.app has multiple outputs for those still on U7 release.
So the best way to get the most out of a pure node is to use a mk3 miner overclocked to 150% to get the 720/m throughput max we can have right now.
