Mid game has oil power and late game has nuclear power.
The pak utility mod allows infinite power, and the refined power mod has more complex power generators, but I'm not aware of a mod that provides simple super high power coal gens
I'm confused, why is your first instinct to want a mod that makes an early game power source into a lategame one, when you literally have access to those kind of energy sources in the game already?
because i using oil generators. i have 26.
but i want build a biiiig trainnetzwork. the energycosts are iiiiiinsaaaane.
i need 10k energy only for trains.
and i dont want build 100 or 200 oil generators.
i am t6 and have only 1 train -.-
Example of what? A good lategame energy source?
Again, what is it that you're actually asking for that is not in the game already?
Well, again, the game already gives you Nuclear power, that is much easier to scale and provides an insane amount of energy. So there's an in game option. Refined Power mod doesn't really give you anything that will straight up outperform the vanilla power generation for a long time. If anything things like wind and solar power, or modular power generators are even more time consuming and fiddly to get going than a simple fuel or coal generators. You'll still have to build dozens of wind turbines and batteries to keep them consistent, just like you have to build dozens of fuel generators for example.
aaah ok. thx for that.
yes i play the game 1 week now.
and i think the energycost at beginning is a real problem. you can build trains @ t6. this is toooo late i think.
But it wouldn't be so bad if the station didn't eat up 50 watts each.
i mean 1 trainstation + 3 module + 1 train = 300 watt. thats to insane :(.
i have not yet built a single factory for t8 research and am quickly reaching the limits of energy :(
That must be one huge factory then. How much energy are you using so far? Coal and Fuel generators should comfortably get you to nuclear power.
in background you see i will build a big trainstation. but i need moooooore power.
my build isnt finished. i need on this trainstation 1150 more watt.
and on top the trainstation i will build the factory. i need 10.000 to start my project :D.
i think i played to muich factorio :D:D:D
IMO you don't need to build any more power sources just yet. You should have enough power to comfortably unlock Tier 8, nuclear and then build those so try to just push for that. Even if your theoretical max power draw exceeds your max production, the graph tells me you are unlikely to ever reach it, most of your structures are constantly on standby after all. So, instead of adding new generators, I recommend just adding some batteries so you are protected from those situations. Add 10-20 batteries, they are easy to make and you're going to have a massive buffer that will prevent fuses from blowing up if you ever exceed your power limits.
So, focus on getting nuclear power before you expand your base so much it requires 10k MWs of power, and you'll be just fine. A single Nuclear Power plant gives you 2500 MWs of power.
2500 sounds good.
thx :)
The whole map have a lots of location with water and coal, a few location with oil and large flat area, almost 15 < - correct me here of geothermal patch and a few place for the nuclear option. The Refined Power do have Steam / coal options, the solar option and wind option. But those are perfect for remote location and you have the Hydro option, the map will provide lots and lots of patch of "hydro".
