Finding Sulfur from the grassy fields start
So i know the grassy fields isn't ideal but i'm here now and have a massive factory setup going. I have unlocked upto Criterium and need some black powder to clear the node for it but for that i need Sulfur.

Where would the closest Sulfur node or even just some sulfur that i can use for black powder?

There is a node a little to the north of the grassland a little to the right of the big lake on a hill you have to build up
if you have already researched sulfur just search for sulfur with the V key.

I also started in Grassland, for me it was the perfect place and sooner or later you will build the whole map when the addiction to the game overwhelms you.

You cant unlock sulfur until you find it. I know i can search once i have it unlocked :)

I have my coal refineries setup north of the start area around that big lake if that's the one you are talking about? There is a lake/4 coal nodes

yes the lake i mean look around there are small deposits everywhere you can mine by hand yes you have to have a small amount to explore this

there is countless little deposits of sulfur and other stuff all over there place...sooner or latter you will find it and can make it scanable. there is likely many deposits right in the starting area if you keep your eye open for them

Sulfur node in Grass Fields is behind the mesa that has coal. Not the floating island, but the one next to the big crater with the 5 Limestone nodes.

The one in the west is, the one in the east is easily accessible.

Check out the online Satisfactory map and it'll let you know exactly where the closest nodes are

You definitely already came across multiple small sulfur rocks, you're just not paying attention. Find one, mine it for some ore, pop it into the MAM and unlock scanning for Sulfur.

That was what I was saying....it you wander around enough you will trip over every one of the discoverable despots that you can mine to get thing unlocked in the mam. but if you know where a node is then go for it but I suspect you already passed by these little mineral deposits in the starting area

True, provided you can work out exactly where you are in reference to that map, as it doesn't entirely match up with the ingame map. But thanx i was looking at that already

if you have the ingame map unlocked both have coordinates to figure out where you are
the online map is measured in cm while the ingame one is in meters. so you have to divide the numbers from the online map by 100 to get numbers that line up in game map

what I do is find the coordinates on the map....drop the last two digits from the X and Y and then type them into the ingame map and it will highlight that spot on the map...while its highlighted you just place a map marker there and set it to highlight and it will put a beam in the sky for you to navigate to
