for me once I unlock all the tiers have have all the things (like mk5 belts and mk3 miners and other the almighty blender) its then time to build my actual factory. most of what I did before gets re build and optimized and I push towards maxing production and using everything on the mas as efficiently as possible. Also I actually begin working on the ascetics and finalize the theme I want to have everything be. And I just experiment with new ideas and new things as well. and then sooner or later a new update hits and I seem compelled to start all over from a fresh start again.
so there...that is what I do when I unlock the final tier and last milestones. What I get from this is endless creative license to do anything I want and try new things and new looks.
Early access, game's not finished, yada, yada, yada, but, in the end, consider that your Satisfactory world is an MMO character that you are leveling up in a game with no ending, and completing tiers is ultimately just a minor side quest that can be done with as much, or as little, effort as you deem necessary.
Viewing your world as such, your ultimate goal is simply to continue to improve your character, from general stats and equipment to cosmetics. The faster you can move around your factories and world, the faster you can transport resources to new areas, the more resources you can move, the quicker and more efficiently you can build products, the more coupons you can generate, and the better your world looks: these are the character stats that you are truly working to improve, and they are what define success in Satisfactory.
Just do what you like, who cares about space elevator, it's currently pointless anyway.
or maybe you have some other lofty goal to meet. Its a sandbox game with tech progression...so once you unlock everything the end game goal is really just a matter of personal preference.
I find that a lot - the main tiers really are too easy, and you need to go back and backfill because meeting the requirements just required throwing a few things together or doing it by hand. The tiers reallty should require larger amounts of items to balance the game better. ... and compared to those tiers, Space Elevator 4 seems ridiculously unbalanced, so you end up playing for long periods of time without any realistic milestones.
I only imagine what comes in tier 9/10
