Slipped from a cliff, fell to death

Hello!
I accidentally fell of the cliff while looking whats down there, of course I died, but my "box" with gear spawned at unreachable cliffside, it seems its impossible to build down there to retrieve. Any chance I get my stuff back?
I though this game is about building, not survival and corpse running starting-over-from scratch like that fn Valheim.
I had pretty valuable stuff on me and I dont like the idea of running around few days more collecting and building again.

If you have unlocked foundations you can build a ramp down to your stuff. If not you might be able to go to the satisfactory interactive map, load your save and move the box so you can reach it. Or just load the save previous to falling.

Thanks for the hint, I loaded previous auto-save and had my stuff on me.

While I get that Stuff is Valuable, the only irreplacable losses are Hard Drives and Power Slugs/Power Shards. Anything else can be replaced with time/effort.

That said, I'll echo Sour Hammer. If you have Foundations already (pretty early unlock) you can Zoop build a ramp down to your box and grab it.

If you have full health you can survive a fall from any height. The first thing I recommend unlocking from the Awesome shop is ladders, this will let you build straight up and down. You can snap a foundation onto any cliff side and use the ladders to get wherever super early in the game with those two items.

I learned the ropes it seems
can place foundation into environment, then snap build ramps upward or downward, in spiral manner can reach sky or planet core
looks silly though, how can heavy object hold on to at one point and not fall off
not complaining though :)
