And what happens to the concept if you just build a floating base? Flying enemies?

What they would have to do is basically creating a new game:
- they have to create a concept of health for base pieces.
- they have to add new buildings.
- they alter the AI (again) so i would even attack buildings
- they most likely would have to add new recipies for whatever
- and after all that they have to balance this
- and if it is just different game mode they would even have to balance everything for both modes. (the amount resources on the map comes to mind at first)
I just don't see how this even would work in satisfactory.
How about the devs make the game in the way they want to make it and you find an alternative somewhere else?
