How to throw snowballs?

My first fiscmas, how do I equip and then throw snowballs?

You need a nobelisk detonator equipped. Hold 'R' by default and you'll get a wheel like the resource scanner with 'V' to select your ammo. Then tap 'R' to load a snowball.

I was about to answer to craft a snowball pile, but thankfully a quick google search informed me of the correct answer:

"Snowball pile has been removed from the game. Instead snowballs are now alternate ammo for the detonator. When equipped, press G to toggle between nobelosk and snowball."

Edit: I just double checked in my game and it is, indeed, the R button and not the G. So much for the all powerful Google haha
