Personal elevator
It would be useful for moving between floors in buildings. Instead of ridiculous hypertubes that are sometimes hard to fit.

Stairs, ramps, ladders, zip lines, jump pads, conveyor belts, hover and jet pack, trains. You’ve got a lot of options besides hypertubes. Get creative.

I think you did not notice that I mean vertical transport inside buildings, between floors. How can I use train for that?

I use stairs but would be useful to have also elevator. Hypertubes require too much space. It's 2 blocks length at least. It's not always an option if you don't build magical floating buildings.

The other thing is that tubes and jump pads are ridiculous. Kind of fun but in the long run I'd rather have more serious solutions.

There's one mods called 'Linear Motion' that caters incredibly well to this, to the extent that I'd call it essential (not as a mod, I mean for the game entirely)

It'll also enable you to use lifts for vehicles too. However, I'm unsure how well the vehicles path with this (personally, I haven't tried, and I'm currently playing on a mod free server with friends. I'm sure further into this session, the issue will come up later in progression where we'll also want lifts implemented.

As Aven mentioned, there are some creative ways to get around this, but ultimately, that dossing about can be completely averted with elevators.

By dedicating A LOT of space for it.

@HTTP Error So it's even worse then tubes. Tubes require 1x2 blocks and additional 1 if you want to close entrance behind door to not be sucked by accident.

i agree that i would be nice to have since the left and right stairs are super crap in my opinion. i usually just build a catwalk stair a catwalk corner and just work my way up its not great but it looks decent enough

It's no worries! Fingers crossed in the future this gets implemented into the game itself :)
I'd suggest if you haven't used mods on the game before, to be light on them. I done my 'ye olde' Skyrim styled modding, and it was too much.
I'd suggest these:
Linear Motion (Elevators)
Structural Solutions (some nice additional build items)
Smart! (Very very handy. You can zoop on two axis using this)
Pak Utility Mod (Basically enables the console, but in the chat window)
Decoration (Trees etc)

I think that's a nice little pack for QoL, with some additional items to make your builds shine. These 5 should be light enough to not obscure the actual game.

Glass foundation fix is another nice one. It just simply takes the blur out of the glass.
(I did find I ruined my gameplay after installing things like Refined Power and real game altering mods. I'd suggest against that for the time being, especially if you play any multiplayer too)

I hope this helps a bit!

Exactly how small do you want these elevators to be?

There are VERY few buildings in Satisfactory that aren’t at least 2m in at least one dimension.

That said? There IS a building that I think you will like. Almost no footprint, can be stacked on top of itself indefinitely, and vertical movement is actually quite quick.

Ladders are likely your friend, here. Just jump on them and climb to the floor you want, then jump off.
