Vertical Splitters - why are they not mentioned anywhere?
I searched a lot for vertical splitters only to end up with a random youtube video of the Dev saying it will not happen (same as with no drones will ever come), but never any positive answer showing it possible without mods.
But it turns out you can split vertically if you use a splitter on a floor-hole.
This is rather useful but only by know exactly what to look for can you find anything on that. So - why? Why is that not mentioned?

I think because it's not an intended feature, just a useful bug that hasn't been fixed yet

you can snap them to conveyor holes and it looks wierd, but works.

You're better off putting the end point of a lift onto the hole first. Last I tried putting the splitter or merger straight onto the hole will work, but you lose one of the ports. Well, you don't fully lose it, but it effectively becomes nonfunctional. Regular belts usually can't connect to the top/bottom port because it's "too steep" and while lifts can connect, the go sideways, and aren't actually useful. If you put the splitter/merger on the top/bottom of a lift, the lift actually ends up inside of it, and the three remaining ports are still fully functional. Mind you, this only works if you place the lift first.

yeah, sadly no way to have a straight lift with a spliter without some workarounds, but this was a surprise to me and did allow me to cut down the footprint of my design a bit.

And simply adding a lift to the Side Takes to much space?!

when you are running multiple lifts next o each other? It does add up. And the lift then are constantly shifting places instead of being right on top of each other.
