I think shadowing/lighting is still being looked at in the game as well
I build building I tried to make it of concrete walll and basic wall. I put Windows inside of building. This windows just cover my elevator. So it is mean that windows not should by reflect anythink from outside. All around even buttom and top is cover, and I have reflections of Sky???
Use signs instead! At max intensity, they give a much better lighting effect, and are very customizable. Something about how light is calculated by the engine.
Insofar as reflections; we take them for granted, but they are extremely hard to do. I sound old when I say I remember I was excited to see any reflection in a game! Though I do agree that it would be better to have some sort of interior trigger to turn it off, or just turn it off entirely and have it be blurry or something. Good reflections are appreciated, no reflection is ignored, but bad reflections tend to be a bit glaring nowadays.
