Power fluctuates - At my wits end :(
I have a combination of coal and fuel generators and I am experiencing some fluctuation in total power output. I have checked water and fuel on all coal generators and did find a couple of pipe problems which I corrected but the problem remains. Is there a way to check the efficiency of a group of generators to identify the machines with problems. I just about to tap every remaining oil node for fuel to run generators and scrap the coal gennies!

SOLVED: It was me...
After days of checking every generator I found it was a math problem with the fuel generators. Fuel shortage was causing them to cycle sporadically.

Pipes are funny right now on experimental. But the thing is, if it fluctuates, that means some pipes are either on/off due some bugs, OR you have insufficient fuel to run them all continuously. Are you SURE, you have enough fuel produced for the number of generators.

The quickest way to check a bunch of machines is to look at their power lights, red means no power, green means everythings running, yellow means they're jamming due to insufficient in-/output. Check if your power plant is sometimes switching colors and you'll find the issue eventually.

the energy generators have changed the requirements in U7 the need with me since U7 more fuel also the coal generators need more water etc.
but also the power was increased that is the adjustment that the lower value with the upper value coincides that was not yet the case in U6.

So you're saying we're all going to suddenly see this problem manifest itself with our existing coal plants if we don't just start fresh when update 7 goes live. That's lovely. :P

It's not a huge deal to adjust them, and the change is for the better, because overclocking is much easier.

Whenever I have power fluctuation problems it's usually fluids backing up in my pipes. If you see somewhere that fluids could reverse direction (especially near storage tanks), insert a valve and leave that valve wide open. Valves only allow fluids to flow in one direction and prevent reverse flow issues.

you don't need to start over just recalculate and reset the requirements or reset the overclocking and back off a bit.
I had to do this with my nuclear power plants because they brought more power with this overclocking but also the fuel rods consume faster and I did not want to start up my factory for this because I also have to recalculate the supplies.
But all this would also announce that the energy producers get linear overclocking. Underclocking get so that the lower value and the upper value for the power are no longer different.

No the power generators simply got a new formula for the calculation for underclocking and overclocking just check and readjust.
I had to readjust my coal power plants, fuel generators and nuclear reactors and now they are running again.
Another problem with me are the smart splitters that are buggy you have to watch out that the conveyors do not stop.
There I also had to change something that the nuclear power plants get their core rods.
