No power switch

This is weird. The power switches that are normally in power poles and generators are not there. I have tried redoing my power grid, isolating my generators (coal), and still no joy. What am I missing/doing wrong?

If your power grid is running (so no fuse tripped) then these aren't shown. The only thing they are always shown on are the power switches.

Have you tried connecting your power to the grid already?

Yes. I have a switch between my Gens and the power grid. when I turn it on, "Max Cons" goes up, but all other readings are 0.

But are your generators connected to power poles? And these with the switch?
Or in other words: What do the generators say?

Yep the are connected together with power poles. The Gens say the same. "Max Cons" is up all others 0.

What is the fuel saying? Does it say "insert fuel"? Or does it say "no water"? If that is the case then your generators are currently not working because they are missing either their fuel or water.

They have fuel and water. the problem is I can't cycle the switch. There isn't one. lol
The only place I have switches right now are the power switch building.

You can either do it via Steam (press F12 in the game, then close the game and upload the screenshot to your profile and then link the screenshot here; this requires the screenshot and your profile to be set to public) or you can make a screenshot in the game, upload it to a third party website and link it there.

Your generator has no water. You need to get your water flowing first by connecting a different power source to the water pump so you can get water to the coal generator. Once it's going and stable, you can switch the water extractor to the coal generator.

Your coal gen is sitting on idle. And I would say that it has too little water to run. Start your water extractors with biomass burners until your coal gens are running without any hickup.
