But because the game is not finished yet, updates can and do break mods - the devs are prioritising finishing th game over maintaining mod compatibility. They do want to add official mod support, but not until v1.0 at the earliest
Major updates always break mods, it takes the modding community time to update.
Things are expected to be more stable once the game reaches v1.0
