What is Coffee Stains stance on Mods?
Just curious as I wait for my favorite mod launcher to get compatible again, does the developer support 3rd party modding, or will they try to block it in the future?
I have been hurt before.

But because the game is not finished yet, updates can and do break mods - the devs are prioritising finishing th game over maintaining mod compatibility. They do want to add official mod support, but not until v1.0 at the earliest

Major updates always break mods, it takes the modding community time to update.

Things are expected to be more stable once the game reaches v1.0

I believe there were plans to support mods officially in the future but lately I haven't heard anything new. There is a video on Youtube where Snutt talks about this. Don't remember which one though.

Look at the second pinned thread and scroll a little bit down. There is the statement
from devs about mods.
You bought it, you break it.

Who cares? It's a single-player game with cooperative multiplayer. There's no one to compete against, they got their money, if you want to paint it purple and call it Mary, it's yours to do with as you please (except repackage and redistribute). Just don't bash the game or the devs if you don't like the results.
