Solid way for coupons since you're balancing them
i saw the youtube video for update 7. They said it gets super grindy near the end for coupons and they were going to rework and balance them while adding the DNA capsules as a second form of input to get coupons.

with that said, I think there is another addition they could add (without creating new serious algorithms. I'm a software engineer, so trust me I try to find ways to re-use my code when possible)

They could add clients/tasks at the coupon machine that operates just like milestones do. (using same code logic) like random tasks based on what milestones the player has unlocked.

example:
input 50 rotors, 100 reinforced iron plates = 2-3 coupons etc

only algorithm needed to create is something to track which combination of objects deserves what number of coupons. (should be easy enough imo). Referring to my small example above, the algorithm would know 2-3 coupons is worth the materials etc. (objects as of now grant points towards a coupon, so maybe base the code logic off of that?)

it would give end game players something extra to do and be able to utilize objects that are no longer a priority by phase 4. Just a thought of course.

Yes it gets harder the more coupons you generate
because the value you need for a coupon is getting higher and higher the last time I looked I needed over 104 million points per coupon.
For the golden nut you need 1000 pieces and for that I should have now only half as it will still take.

Been at half a billion per coupon (maximum) for quite a while and sinking over 15 million points/min. Not a big deal considering the time passed. Would be nice if DNA capsules remained fixed rate. Unfortunately thought that inhalers would be the thing, for various reasons, and have 6000 in storage. Unless more purpose is intended for coupons, it's mostly hoarding by the late stages.

When my counter reaches ~1.000.000 points / coupon I have mostly reached the point where I do not find anything in the shop that is worth investing points in. As an estimation I would say: I am more than happy with 1/3 of all goodies from the shop, the rest I do not need and will never use e.g. markings for roads and most of the signs. In late game I use the coupons only for purchasing items ( iron plates / rods, rotors ) on construction sites with a shop that are far far away from my base where all this stuff is stored; many times I am too lazy to take a trip back just for picking up 400 iron plates.
What´s the sense of saving points just to purchase a statue? That´s beside achievement hunting a kind of game-play that is totally strange to me.

To each his own I will not buy iron plates or anything else when my warehouses overflow with the stuff and I do not have all the statues yet, everything else I have from the store.

I just looked and printed the existing tickets and now have exactly 500 pieces half to the Golden Nut is done.
