[ Update 7 ] Please don't remove Paradise Island
Paradise island is a is a perfect spot for tacking screenshots or placing the player hub,
and if this place was remove would it effect the void bellow? if so this would remove one of the largest building areas in the game.

Some suggestions for alternatives
  • Move the world boarder out, this would add more water to the map
  • Leave the map as is
  • Add a high level enemy keeping new players out, this would make it so that new players doesn't loss to much progress.
  • increase the elevation of the island

is not so perceived here post this on the Q&A page.
I assume that something new is coming there and I'm a little scared because I've built a lot over the abyss in front of it.

I saw that later, so I have added my vote.

I haven't been tracking the latest Satisfactory news lately, but what is so special about Paradise Island and why are there so many players want to keep it around? Would appreciate someone explain this to me.

I mean I kinda get that it's a secluded area in the southwest corner of the map and probably will provide some unique scenery, yet the rest of the gigantic map doesn't lack any of that already. So is there something the devs may or may not have suggested that needs to happen over there?

Here are some use cases
  • Dumping ground for nuclear waste
  • Nice hub location because there is less important stuff there, so no heavy reconstruction
  • No hostile mobs
  • The void bellow is one of the biggest flat spaces
  • Having a landmass for a dam makes it look better

I find the island relaxing also, away from the rest of the game.
The main issue with the island is the death wall from my understanding.

You don't need to store it. It can be reprocessed.

yes to plutonium fuel rods and if you also use them in the reactor, plutonium waste is produced and this can no longer be reprocessed and must be stored.

Wouldn't recommend to use Plutonium Fuel rods for energy, except if you have no other way of getting energy and you are pretty much out of energy.
Though this would raise the question: "How the hell does someone manage to do this?"

Plutonium fuel rods last much longer than uranium fuel rods, but I have only two nuclear power plants running, my container is almost full and I will shred the overflow.

Small problem -- the AWESOME Sink does not accept spent Plutonium Fuel Rods

There are no spent plutonium fuel rods only plutonium waste to be stored.
However, I have an overflow of fuel rods that I can shred.
I produce more plutonium fuel rods than I currently consume.
So not a small problem.

I still think that you should only do this if you have no other way of getting more energy. Sinking the Fuel rods should take priority above getting energy that you don't need. At least in my opinion.
