Update 7 news!

Planned to land in Experimental in November, EA before end of year

Smaller than Update 6

Fixed the weirdness with overclocking generators. 250% overclock will now mean 250% power and 250% fuel/water
Reduced water consumption for nuclear generators: 240 instead of 300 (so 250% overclock = the max 600 water)

Organic data capsules have a separate track for coupons in the awesome sink - separate cost per coupon that increases at its own rate.

Passive game mode (creatures do not attack)

Conveyors will auto snap to walls with wall mount!!
Conveyor ceiling mounts!! With auto snap!!

Bug fixes
performance improvements

Other things maybe, depending on what they can get ready in the available time
Possibly other overclocking changes

Their planning is now being driven by the goal of getting the game finished and out of Early Access, not about the next major update.

Update 7 will not include the creature updates that were previously mentioned as being in the works

Ficsmas will be turned on this year, but will not include any new content (too busy with Update 7)

More game modes being looked at for the future. None are certain
* Creative (still planned but not until closer to v1.0)
* God mode
* No fall damage
* Keep inventory on death
* More

Paradise Island (No Mans land, the small landmass at the south west that intersects with the kill border) is going to be deleted in a future update. Because there's nothing there of interest and there are no plans to add stuff there.

They fixed power generator overclocking? Wow! That's good news. Will give me about 20 power shards back from one of my power plant areas.

A mode to disable creature aggression. Also, you get more points for sinking samples from animals killed with the new weapons.

The development trajectory remains steady, I see.

Seriously though, when Snut announced game modes coming I got very excited then when he mentioned what they were my hopes were dashed! I was praying for Challenge game modes, not modes that make the game easy.


- No hand crafting anything mode (excludes Equipment Table items; easy fix for Parts needed for *literally* the Building it is going to make is: giving those in this Mode something similar to the HUB Parts item but it's a Building Parts item that can make ANY building [that is tier unlocked] but it only works at 5% Underclock, so it's not viable but can eventually create your Part, or it could work at 100% but it can only make X amount of Parts per game day; wow that was too long, but it's doable to implement I'd think).
- No Overclocking *factory* Buildings (slots do not exist, Underclocking still viable)
- No OC'ing *power* Buildings ( "" "" )
- No Alt. recipes from Harddrives (doesn't affect MAM alt recipes)
- Real fall damage
- Space Elevator takes 3 ingame days to create and twice that to dismantle and Corporate gives you the coordinates it must be placed within ~100 meters; Haha just having fun now with challenge mode concepts.
- Gravity is real mode!!! Foundations break apart if there's no... ermm... foundational support.
- Need to use toilet twice a day or suffer a 30% *maximum* health penalty. lol

I'm bored.

BTW I already do 'No hand crafting' anything ever UNLESS mandatory to make the *1st* Building. Never OC'ed any factory building (constructor, manufacturer, etc) but I do miners and extractors all the time. The math is the funniest part for me. Never used a manifold either. All Parts are exact for every factory, no backups at any point everything is massive meticulously made Balances. Never used an Alt recipe! That's cheating!

Again, bored, have fun with this New Gamers, I'll be playing Treasure of Tarmin until U7.

and water reduction for nuclear power plants who overclocks knows what the problems are to supply them with water at 250% need the also 600 m3 of water and without MK3 pipes so I can abolish water pumps.
These are for me the most important changes for Update 7.

So what will happen to Paradise Island. Will there be the big nothing, but if a factory is there it will hang in the air? Or is everything be deleted? It was such i nice spot, doing all the nuclear stuff.

I suspect anything you built there will still be there, just floating

So they ARE re-working Overclocking, just in separate updates to work things out. I must say that I approve, Especially with starting with generators so they generate the correct amount of power (which is more than they did previously If I'm not mistaken.)
