I'm really down for something like that even if it'd only mean the swoop mode adds ramps if I go upwards.

or that here under my starter area in the grasslands.

16m, 32m, and 64m roads that place like conveyors and are optionally paintable- Even has a road option that places vanilla foundations in the form of the road.
I think that is what OP is mostly concerned about.
Hah! Thanks for the heads up. Will definitely check it out!
Oh I'd like that but why not take it even further as in we have the road signs. Why not use them for the truck AI.
right now vehicles are kind of annoying if they need to go off road or up a mountain because building highways with foundations is just clunky and ugly.

It is 18 wide and links grassy fields with my top base , moving materials like the is quicker than drones but be warned it was hard work , i have shown this shot before and some say i must have used mods but i can asure you i did not.
This is how i did it , i placed a row of foundations down and put walls with conveyor holes in them , next i added the belts , when i got near the top i realised i would miss where i wanted them so i went to the waterfalls and worked my way down until they joined up with some vertical conveyors , when complete i removed the walls and foundations
That's a beautiful bus my friend, but I think you misunderstood what we were talking about.
I'm talking about building roads. Pavement. Basically, Foundations. What I said about belts is about how they materialize when you build them: as a single long stretch of solid material wich can bend and curve smoothly. A single piece, you know.
I would have built this more in height than in width
and now with the trains I would do it with one or more trains
which I have also done I have dismantled some mega bands.
And the mostly long belts are under the map with me because I conveyor belts on the map partly just when they are so long just look like ♥♥♥♥.

in my first playthrough i made 4m foundation on water then removed a row of them , on the bottom edge i put a 1m foundation and a 1m foundation level with top edges , this meant i had a 2m " tunnel " to hide some belts in but for some reason on my 2nd playtrhrough i could not make it happen ???

Spaghetti ribbons were even tidier for me at the beginning than in your picture and I hated them.
And at some point I slid the crap underground until I didn't want that anymore either and then built it properly underground.
I also paved the abyss in the grassland by the big waterfalls and hid my logistics three stories down and small factories are running.
