How to make trains load ALL items

So when loading and unloading trains you have to select each item that you want to load and unload and you have to do that for each stop. What if I want a train that can load/unload all the items in the game? Do I really have to select every single item individually?

You can copy and paste settings for the constructor... I feel like copy/paste train settings would be far more useful or even being able to select categories like for example- "Ores" "Ingots" ect. I wanted to have an "Everything Train" That could move all of my stuff from my current base to one I'm working on, on the other side of the map and train seemed like the best way to do it since I have stations at both... But just selecting all this items took sooo long. I wanted more than one "Everything Train" but I don't want to do that again.
Is there a better way to select lots of items for loading and unloading?

Yes. Don't select items. By default, a train will load/unload all items.

If you pop a new freight platform and all you do is click the load/unload button to set if you want it to load or unload, it will accept any and all items, even mixed items.

you need to attach a conveyor belt from the output ports on a freight platform to a container. as Vectorspace pointed out you need to have a freight platform set up on your freight line and it set to unload.. with the use of smart splitters you can unload the entire car of different items into individual containers/industrial containers.

I think the OP is setting item filter settings inside the freight platform UI, and assumed it would not ship anything until a filter was set. Which is incorrect, if no filter is set it will allow everything
