At tiers 7 & 8, what's the point of continuing on?
I have reached tiers 7 & 8. I got aluminum ingots, plate and sheets being made; and also radio control units. After unlocking some things, the recipes start being ridiculous and I am having to expand my circular bus system again to try to cover for it. But I ask, why keep going? I am at the end, I got the belts upgraded to tier 5 and I wonder if I shouldn't just restart on a different part of the map? It's not like factorio with a clear goal of sending off rockets to space. I kind of want to finish the current phase, but what is the point of all the complications if there is no real end game goal to make it worth it?

A story is probably being added in 1.0, that will probably provide a clear goal to building a factory. Right now, getting the golden coffee cup by making a lot of parts is how you beat the game, which is still a pretty decent goal.

Nothing goes with unlimited coffee like drinking it from a Golden Coffee Cup.

The point of contuing is to make more factories for the same thing

When tier 9, or 8b, eventually comes out, what will you need and how much? I know the recipes aren't even known yet but we can guess. Quantum computers and super oscillators will be just another component of something else.

The thought of using drones got me to go at it again but I ran into a small issue. When I first designed my bus design, it was for a 5x5 grid. Now it is 8x5 and I am thinking I should have planned for 10x5. It is not impossible, but would require a lot of work to add 2 more lanes, as I would have to tear down a lot of belts that are being pulled own, plus tear down some other parts of the base where I have packaged fuel being produced, and rebuild it elsewhere.

I was overwhelmed but found even making batteries with the classic recipe was rather easy to set up. When I finished with that though, every belt was saturated and I am thinking, perhaps I should call it quits here and wait for update 6 to become stable to start anew. At least now I know what I am doing, and that the bus design works rather well. Though when it comes to using a modular design with trucks and stuff, that I have no clue how to make work correctly. I know how to set up trucks, but I don't know how much of things I need to make. With a bus, I can take a guess or work with what I have to figure out amounts. Trains are still a pain in the ass; but necessary for the long distances I need them for.

If you wonder what's the point:

The only purpose for the top tiers is feeding the coupon gods with as high as possbile points per minute and fill the landscape with expensive statues untill you got no space or fps left.

What would happen if Satisfactory merged with dyson sphere?!!

The [a] goal is completing the space elevator tiers. Yes the parts seem to be crazy but they're really not, you don't need to have enough machines to produce 1000 of the things in an hour.

Beyond completing the space elevator tiers, it's up to the player.

There is no point. Quit now.

100 nuclear pasta per minute and 100 % efficiency with all machines, straight conveyor belts and a nice integration into the landscape. Should keep you busy for 2000+ hours until the game releases and will bring us a story, a clear target and achievements.

The max without mods is a little bit above 60 pasta per minute.

No point at all. Well thought out, developers!

I understand the game is in early access and we won't see a story for a long time; but I find it hard to finish something complicated and a lot of hard work without reward. Sure the process to this point has been fun; and looking back I am pleased with what I have accomplished. It's the furthest I've been, and I learned a few things. I am by no means a creative person; so everything is just built for practical reasons, even so much as building pillars to fit the idea of structural integrity. I kinda wish there was some.
