As an example, let's say you have 120 limestone coming in and want to make it all into concrete with the base recipe, but you don't want your constructors constantly starting and stopping as 3 constructors would need 135. You can type in (40/45)*100 into the clock speed and get 88.8_ which will keep them running.
Excel is king.
I have a specific case I just needed. I had to set a fuel generator, notably a power device, to 0.33% repeating. Given that you weren't able to input infinite values into the input box, I had to adjust the values up and down a bit until I received the right result.
Is this the situation we're talking about? Could I have put into the rate box a calculation that would come out to my desired result? Ie, 4/12? That seems accurate.
If you fill in 100*(1/3)^1,3
at the clock speed field you get a fuel generator consuming
exactly 4 fuel /1,5 turbofuel
