Taming more creatures... Eh, no opinion really. Not really sure how tamed creatures could be of assistance more than what you can already do with the lizard doggos and finding random stuff. I guess maybe defending you while you explore, but I feel like there's plenty of ways to do that yourself already.
In the end though this is a factory logistics game, not a combat game or pet raising simulator. No mechs, no creatures. In fact all the fauna in the game right now, that is pretty much all you're ever going to see ever.
The devs are not interested in taking it in that direction, and nobody in the "core community
of the game wants that, all they want is a factory supply line game, and they active oppose anyone who bring sit up, expect one of them to show up and shoot you down any moment now.
They don't want to add tower defense, base destruction, army creation, or combat in it anymore than it already is.
just think of your initial character as a mech. that's why the wildlife isn't all that big. it's because you are in a large mech already.
