Best cave location to build a massive factory?
I want to change it up a bit. i want to go under ground, if possible with roads and trains.
Any tips for a good location? if possible i would like to connect several caves. (ps own the game on Epic)

I haven't found a cave system big enough to hold a "big" factory. The Cave Of Nope is just big enough to pass a train through, and stop at the Uranium, but the slope would make it extremely difficult to put in anything substantial. And none of the caves are interconnected.
The quartz one across the north has some pretty big chambers in terms of volume. You'd have to build several floors to access it all. Logistics would be an issue, though.

Build a ramp into the void.

There is ample space underneath the map.

Just uh, don't fall.

The long cave in the Rocky Desert with the quartz nodes. I will make series of modular factories in the caves in the North of the Dune desert. There is a pit which will get filled and covered up. You might try the caves button on the interactive map:

The western Quartz nodes have a decent sized, very tall cave. Not big enough for a whole factory, but like, was fun cramming in what we could there.

None of them are big enough for a massive factory, I guess depends on your definition of "massive" but anything to do Tier 4 project parts is not gonna fit in any of the caves.

The biggest cave system I think is the Uranium cave with the spiders in it, the one near the middle of the map between the big valley with the waterfall in the grasslands and the mushroom jungle area.

The quartz cave near the beach/redforeds area in the western part is also pretty big and has a higher ceiling I think, but it's not as expansive as the Uranium Cave.

thats what i was thinking. better off building in the void where there is nothing, not even bacterial life or resources. i've never seen a cave that could possibly hold a full factory even at a small size. besides, the entrance would get filled with belts and pipes way before you could set up aluminium. i would not recommend this goal as a personal challenge. even if you intended to use every cave on the map. your factory would be far from, satisfying.

I think i will send in an recommendation, to the development team, to add linked caves to the game.
In my opinion its a minor change with some added fun.

Got the uranium waste/plutonium, including a couple particle accelerators in the uranium cave by the swamp. Access to underground there too, but it's a little dark.

The swamp cave, middle of middle of the map cave, North-west cave, and cave in the center-west with two quartz nodes and a waterfall above it are the biggest caves in the game. You can't do a mega factory in them, but you can focus on one or two products.
