Pumps not pumping water up pipes.
I'm confused because I have a MK2 pump pumping water up a pipe and it's not doing it. The lower part is full of water but none is reaching the upper part. It's only a rise of maybe 10m vs the 50m the mk2 is supposed to handle.

This is happening on a pipe I have a splitter on that is sending, successfully I should add, water in the other directions. It's just this 3rd direction that is having problems.

Do pumps stop working when they hit a pipe splitter or something?

you talking about a pipe junction?
if yes, redo the junction/pipe section it's on - i had this problem with my refinery setup earlier and redrawing the pipe solve the issue.

Make sure they're powered. Pumps require power. And make sure they're oriented the right direction, there are two possible orientations when placing a pump.

Flushing the pipe manually seemed to get it working again. Idk why that worked unless something else was trapped in that pipe.

Because pipes in general are a bit buggy, and flushing the system is like rebooting a computer. Fixes a good number of problems by just resetting to a blank slate condition.

could also be something as simple as the pump facing the wrong way , i also put a flow meter on to make sure their is no back slopping

Try to operate the pipeline a little under full load.

Pipe networks can glitch out. One of the more common glitches is if the flow after a pump stalls. The pump can get stuck in "check valve" mode and, if there's no spare room in the next pipe section (due to it being stalled), it can't start flowing again so it jams up completely.

Can't imagine you had oil or gas in it, you'd know when oil was in your supply line.

This game does have some bugs in the production line, I've noticed. There are times when some Space Elevator Project Parts appeared in my conveyer belts randomly, or some coal ends up in the supply line.

Which is impossible because there no other nearby vehicles or anything delivering those parts anywhere close to that belt line. But it happens. the game does have some weird bugs that I don't understand here and there.

When in doubt, delete and rebuild. That fixes every bug I've encountered.
