Why do nuclear power plants have no water?
I have a train station that receives water. It sends it through 2 MK2 pipes to 2 small water stores, there is a valve in each of these pipes to prevent the flow from reversing. then 2 MK2 pipes come out that join into one, which also has a valve for this same purpose. passes a MK1 pump, continues its journey until it splits into 2 MK1 pipes. that flow into 2 underclocked nuclear power plants so that they only consume 229 water per minute. at no time are the warehouses or the train station empty.
Why are my power plants not getting enough water?

Recheck your pipe network

already did

Sounds like your setup is far too complex. Water networks have strange glitches, so keep them as simple as possible. Build nuclear next to water sources, ship the fuel to the nuclear plant, and don't use excess valves or pumps.

Double check your Mk1 Pump direction. I've been messed up by this a few times having my pumps forcing the fluid back in the opposite direction.

I learned this the hardway with what my friend who already playing the game called "Spagget Elder God of Bases".

He was not wrong, apparently I was unwise to design something that contained a quote "orbital fuel nuker" and under it the "Aluminum basin"

I would like to, but due to the lousy design of the game in some aspects, I end up having to do things like this

If you have a flowrate of 600m³/min through a MK2 pipeline then you are losing fluid.

do yourself a favor and build the nuclear plants near water. i do transport stuff in bottles and other materials with drones and trucks - but for everything power related, you want to be 100% sure nothing stops the power. That why i use only pipes and belts for power.

I hadn't thought about it, I could bottle the water at the station and take it by conveyor belt to the side of the power plant.
thanks

yes, that's what I had been reading. that's why I reduced the consumption to 229 per minute hoping not to have problems

You can still have problems when in any part of your pipeline if you have a flowrate of 600m³/min. Meaning that to prevent that you should put a valve directly on the pipeline from the train station and limit it to below 600m³/min to avoid losing water.

I've been struggling with my nuclear plant water.

What I find is that it works while I'm by the plants. But then when I leave the area I can see from the power graph that some are cycling on and off. Then when I check them I find some plant's simply stop pulling water from their supply pipe every now and then, even though the pipe is full.

I can confirm that my own reactors fed 600m³/min while consuming less than 550 are fairly often struggling for water. I may have to mess with the clock of I don't know how many water extractors.

lol, why bottle the water ???? use a pipe for the water OR build the nuclear plant at water, there is plenty of water in the world :p
