Why is the level 3 conveyor belt 270 units per minute?
shouldn't it be 240?

It's a very good upgrade.

To dare you to use those 30 items extra and dare to drop them when you double up to mk 4 belts.
It gives some spicy opportunities but if you develop quick you won't benefit that much from it.

I don't know the reason but the more I play the more I keep finding hidden genius in the production ratios

Yes, I know it can be used. but why?
my inner perfectionist is giving him anxiety XD.

any example with the topic in question?

Several things you need to make around the time you get Mk3 belts are made at 45/minute. It wouldn't divide evenly into 240, but it does into 270.

the only thing I saw of 45 per minute is steel. but it has a consumption of 45 per minute in both iron and coal, so you have to reduce it to 40 per minute to suit 60/120/240 extractions.

You don't have to. Gather the ore to a smelting facility and send what you need where you need it. That's up to you, of course. The belt just allows you to fit it evenly if you choose to.

yes, but the point is that the misfit here is steel, which has a consumption that is not adapted to production

I just noticed that the caterio foundry also has a consumption of 45 per minute. but more of the same, it is annoying that they consume 45 per minute since the extractors produce in multiples of 60. you end up doing lots of complicated calculations so that the production adapts to the 45 per minute. when it is much easier to make foundries produce at 40 per minute.
Also, even if you gather all the minerals on the map in a single smelter, in the long run the production is the same. Why complicate life with this?

The only things that are 45/minute is the original steel recipie you want to replace as fast as possible and the replacement is 60/minute and water to the coal plant.

BUT water is carried in 300/min pipes so having coal plants use 45 water/min is retarded. I HATE THAT. It should be 40/min like the coal consumption. There is so much stupid like this in the game. Exponential overclocking is another piece of stupid.

yes, the 45 of water from the coal plant are quite annoying. if there were 40, a single water extractor could supply 3 plants. but with 45 you stay that 3 centrals do not have enough water, and 2 have more than enough.
The exponential overclocking thing doesn't seem bad to me, a penalty so that it's better for you to build another fabricator rather than boost it. what I don't like is that when powering a power plant, it produces less energy than it should
