So by the point I need to make huge a*s factories to supply the space elevator, I tap out.
I played through the game once, and now I just enjoy building small buildings connected with trains and trucks.
Game needs some more gameplay changing elements in the core belt management to stay interesting in tier 7/8 if you ask me.
It feels too much like working to connect all that stuff.
I need to start taking breaks.
12 hours constant gaming is bad for me.
Satisfactory is my personal favorite of all time.
But to the point of OP - it was kind of a 2-fold for me. At 600-ish hours I was starting to drop framerates and I looked around (in game) and kind of felt like... oh man, I have a lot of "work" ahead of me to build this new, gigantic factory I have in my head.
So... graphics cards became reasonable... I needed a new machine .... I have been out there in a world of 100-hour (or less) games and I am coming back home, to Satisfactory, a game I have literally thought about every single day on at least a subconscious level, since last I played. I'll be starting a new save in a new-to-me Update 6 and I anticipate another 600 hours but who knows.
Games are personal. The Infected is one of my favorites. That's a smaller (I think one but I think he was hiring) developer and it seems therefore a "smaller" game and quicker burn.
I look at it like this. I've never burned out on Minecraft. I just take long and short breaks. Satisfactory is the only game I'd ever compare (as far as personal interest) so I think if it feels like burnout too soon, it's just not going to be the nearest and dearest in your collection of games.
I guess I'll need another 60 hours to complete Phase 4 to get a crappy Coffee cup, which is not fun at all
I have invested 300hrs in Factorio to launch spacecraft (complete).
I have invested 1500hrs in Satisfactory, money well spent for a game that isn't finished
Need a huge furnance building or multi stage assembler, like 1st step is joining steel and nails, second is adding rods and third is adding concrete to have those reinforced squares.
For me worst part of Satisfactory is the demand for recepits and how much the havoc your production.
Most are trash, while some are way to OP.
