How to create an upside-down pipe "U" bend

Like having the pipe shaped like the letter "U" or the letter "n" ? One way I can think of is that you put some foundations down, put two Pipe Floorholes and then use the Noodle build function with the pipe from underneath, then delete the foundations.

Simple way to do it is to start with a straight horizontal pipe. Install 2 Pipe Crossings, oriented vertically. Then build a Pipe section between the 2 top outputs of the Pipe Crossing, using the Noodle build mode. You can then deconstruct the remaining horizontal fragment between the 2 Pipe Crossings.

I'm still looking to confirm this myself in the new update, but I read one of the new building 'modes' (like Zoop) for pipes is called 'vertical'.

I imagine that would make this process a lot easier as well.
