Always Daytime

Is there any way to set the game to always be day time? Night time is really annoying me when I'm trying to build and it's hard for me to see without having to go in each night time and adjust my brightness, only to have to re-adjust it when the sun comes out.

EDIT: Excuse me, I'm referring to the Gama setting btw, on Update 5, as there doesn't appear to be an actual slider option for "Brightness". But figured you would know what I meant.

There are mods for this - permaday for example.

You can also use console commands (this requires 'cheats' to be enabled):
SetTimeMultiplier 0
- This will freeze the current time (setting to 1 is normal day-night transition).

This doesn't work. I don't know if it ever worked, but it isn't on the wiki as a console command:

It also isn't on the September 2022 version of the old wiki, and shows up in no other search results but here. Perhaps it was from another game.

There are no built in commands to change time or stop it. If you want to control the game time you need to use the perma day mod. This will allow you to enter what ever time of day you want.

Do you use your worklight? The one you toggle with B (if on PC)

There is no comments to change the day/night cycle or keep it day. Until Update 8 comes out of experimental mods also wont be updated as patches and bug fix's can break mods easily so mod updates are held until the stable release.

Go there and upvote it, that's already a post asking for such an option and is where the devs mainly look for bugs and suggestions. They don't really look here on steam.

We are on an alien planet, add a second sun up there. Maybe one that doesn't light up the place just as much but it never goes dark, like a dusk/dawn for a couple minutes then back to full day light. Maybe an option at game creation, or in the game options.

I like this idea! Or just make the moon that's really bright, so it wouldn't look like day time but it wouldn't be anywhere near as dark as night time.
