Laying lots of floor at a time
There was a time when we could press ctrl or another key and could lay 24 tiles at a time . I've been away for a while and now we can't seem to do it anymore. Is their a new way thanks for your time.

I got the game when we had mods and we could line up a floor 48-60 tile long in one shot. Now its too long why did they stop that make the game too long.

There is a modless way of doing it now but it's limited to 10, Zoop.

Oh, if you're looking for a mod, Smart is one of the most popular ones to do this. It'll allow you to lay up to 100x100 foundations, walls, and ramps at once.

Oh that's neat. I might add that when I get around to starting a new game in U6

Press R when building a wall, foundation, or stackable pole to toggle between normal build mode, and zoop. When in zoop mode you can move your mouse after placing the first buildable and it will allow you to build up to 10 in a row.
The line mode known as "zoop" has been a nice addition. Hopefully CS will adopt an area build mode as well. And if it didn't have a stupid special unique snowflake name for this standard building game feature, that would also be nice.

I wouldn't expect Coffee Stain Studios to change zooping any further. Their reasoning is that mods already do this, like Smart, and they don't want to completely take over everything they do. And at some point there will be official mod support, so they don't want to make the mod community mad. Also, they felt an area build like that kind of defeats some of the gameplay they're trying to establish, the point that we're supposed to take some time to build factories and such. They were finally happy to give us some kind of basic functionality, but even that they were resisting for a long time.

The mods don't work anymore. And we are mad, they made this game tedious and overly repetitive = boring. Its no longer a game its a chore now. The purpose of a game is to have fun not making it like this. Allowing the gamers to play like they want would get them more gamers , but now they just loosing them one at a time . I jut started a new game i don't think i'll finish it now. bye.

phillip ..... i have a question for you , you said " active " mods will shortly updated , can you explain what you mean please.

In my first playthrough i used 100 + and after an update to the main game EVERTYHING from the mod program vanished , this included all the new machines not in the main game , mark 6 modded conveyors and visual stuff such as the tall hologram pillars

Not true. Many mods don't work.
Only one of mine didn't work with the EA release of U6 and it was fixed a couple of days later. (Probably because I was already on Experimental U6 and had already updated my mods.)

There are many mods from U4 and U5 that quit working and were not updated (and may never be). I miss some of them.

This is what happens in Early Access games. It's just one of the things we deal with in these games.
