Suggestion regarding rails
Sorry if this has already suggested, but I think a lot of you can agree that putting down rails is really hard. Making nice curves for an example is a really b-tch.
Could you guys do like pre-made curves for not only rails, but foundations has well? Pretty please?

And also, thank you for an amazing game! <3

I have no problem with putting down "nice" curves. Do you have an idea how many models of curve you need in a 3D environment?
Yea, I do, but I'm thinking more simple ones. I struggle with my rails to be honest. When I try to make a nice curve, it always ending up more to one side rather the center of (for an example) foundation.

i would say build your rail to the point u want to start the turn then pre lay your next straight say 3 blocks away from the start of your next straight and then make sure that is going straight and then connect up your track its really not that hard to lay out a track and have nice looking turns

I haven't been able to zoop since the new update. Sad...

Laying down flat sections first then connecting them to make curves is a great way to build rails, BUT the tolerances are a lot more strict that way. If you need a really tight corner lay it down first, then leave a gap, then lay a flat track, then connect the end of the curve to the flat track. This will smooth out any remaining curve coming off the curved part.
Thank you all for the pro tips, will try to implement them :)

This for sure, only way I've been able to get them in the right spot have been to start the next straight and then toss the turn back on the track.
You can also get straight tracks by "backstiching" them. You measure out two track segments from your existing ones, lay the further one (which will be perfectly straight, regardless of orientation), then connect it back to your railway. This means every other track will be perfectly straight, leaving the rest little room to go astray. The key is that your build range is the same distance as the maximum length of a rail segment.
These are really good tips. Thank you all! <3

This is the only solution that worked for me as well, laying the straight sections on foundations and then placing the curves. Also be aware that segment proximity alone is enough to join segments for the train ai. In other words if your curves or any part really are too close together the AI will think they're one section causing all manner of shenanigans.

This is likely to detect X junctions and such.

i dont have any issue's with my trains at all i have two tracks going either direction in the main area and in one spot 6 tracks but ive got one of the 6 tracks hidden under the network since that is breaking off from the network of tracks and its only going to one area then it joins up with another track going the same way but my rule of thumb is always 2 tracks going one direction coz if you know that lets say you have one train doing the full length of your network then that train in on the inside track... and any train that isnt or has to make a stop at some point is on the outside track

It would be nice to display a little square in the corner of the angle on perfect 90 degree turns to make accurately laying track easier.
