how optimized is this game?
I have a ok pc. but even Factorio which is 2d and compared to Satisfactory is way less graphical might lag in late stages of the factory. how is it with Satisfactory?

What is YOUR GPU ? A Megafactory might bring your fps down to 15 with my definition of an "ok" PC. However having smaller factories scattered across the map for different stages of production is totally fine

For what it does it runs very well basically.
Any game with sandbox building can be broken if you go insane enough, but runs a lot better than I'd expect in EA. Tbh better than some finished games.

Is one of the best optimized games you'll find on the market.

it is better optimized than most AAA titles.

I have a 1660 Super. I get about 80fps on Medium settings. That's today, when I have a gigantic factory in Tier 9. When you start the game you'll be at 100fps.

When you consider how much is going on in this game, that's no joke.

This game doesn't scare me. I play minecraft. Anyone that plays minecraft knows once you build so much, the FPS begins to drop like crazy.

I haven't compared computer hardware lately but Satisfactory plays very well on my system.
My system:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Processor AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core Processor, overclocked by app 11 percent to 4300 Total Memory 32 GB - 2133 MHZ Motherboard ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HERO BIOS Mode UEFI Video Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, 8 GB memory Video Display 60hz 4K LED Monitor (Am using 1080p mode)
(Edited Memory speed.)

There are ways to reduce FPS drops in megafactories. There is the one youtuber called ImKibitz that uses different methods to build his factories in a certain way which he shows in his videos so spoiler warning when watching his stuff. Mainly building factories with walls, enclosed rooms and also spacing out parts of your factories for different purposes rather than building everything in one spot, that is why vehicle automation exists.

He does have massive bases and I mean he spends like 500 hours building it, obviously has the best rig. I don't think most of the player base will be building megafactories like this which purpose is to break the game sometimes and pushes its limits like he does for content.

To be honest, the game is still well optimized for an Early Access title, developers did a really good job with it where other EA titles never optimize until 1.0 release and even then the optimization isn't much better like ARK for instance.

@jamiechi: Why is you memory clock so low? Looks like you didn't load the XMP-Profile in UEFI, or your memory doesn't run at dual channel or both.

According to CPU-Z it is in DUAL mode, and the Uncore Frequency and DRAM Frequency show 1055.
I haven't looked in the bios awhile so there might be something I can change there.

Edit: The UEFI bios says Memory at 2133 MHZ and Target FCLK at 1200 MHZ.
Thanks for pointing this out. :)

Try looking up what speed your RAM is rated for. it might be 2133 MHz, but that seems slow to me for DDR4 (especially if you have sticks that allow for 32 gigs of it), and your board/CPU are rated for 3200 (not sure about OC though).

I was originally playing this game with no problems on my i7 3770, 16GB RAM with a 1050ti at the graphical helm and was very impressed with the graphic quality as well as the frame rates. I never got too far into the game to see massive performance drops, but would imagine it would struggle on megafactories.

So I am assuming any semi-decent PC can handle this game pretty well without any issues, although I still think the bigger the factory the more chance you are to having slowdown.
