Diving Underwater
Will it ever be possible to have controls to navigate underwater. It is very difficult to receive my death crate at the bottom of the ocean.

If you can get a ladder under the surface from a lookout tower or something else you can use your build gun under water to build and ladder down to your crate.

or you can move the crate to your hub with the interactive map, a third party tool on this website:

Thanks Kluns, didnt know you could move crates with the interactive map, i will surely be taking advantage of that.

wonder if they'll ever just make death crates float to the surface for those who die in the water/ocean. That or make a building or vehicle that can salvage crates from down there to save time

The interactive map can also help you recover vehicles in case they get stuck underground after saving and loading sometimes. Not sure how often that can still happen in the latest version of the game but it's always best to be prepared.

Park them on foundations before saving and exiting. The only time I had a vehicle fall through was on the bare ground, back during Update 3.

And you can drop from a high location into deep water to retrieve your crate.

And you can also avoid dying under water. Since you can't dive, I cannot grasp the concept of dying underwater in the first place.

Not any time soon, seeing how .. devs are not very fast at doing updates.

Another piece of advice: never exit your vehicle below any sort of overhanging terrain, whether that's inside a cave or just under an outward-leaning cliff. The problem seems to occur more frequently when there's terrain at the same coordinates, but with a higher elevation.

Also, this is supposed to be fixed (or at least much less frequent) with Update 6 (Snutt mentioned it during the recent video describing the specific changes other than terrain).

Goto the SCIM, drag you save file onto the upload save button on the site.
find the chest you wanna move, right click. select move near to you
Then download the modified save file and drop it in the save game folder.
Then load that save in the game.

Also, I am not positive if it is the same for crates, but I noticed that animal carcasses float up to the surface after killing them. I am guessing that is a feature of a recent update.
