Whats the most number of wagons you ever put on a train

I have only ever put a maximum of 16 wagons on two or three of my trains, any more and the stations become too large to fit into my buildings.

Theoretically it's an infinite number, because you can add more engines to provide more pulling power.

The amount should be size of land minus one wagon so that the entire train system moves like a dial on a safe.
