plutonium pellet problem

For about 4 days i have put nuclear waste into the particle accelerator to produce plutonium pellets and these go on a train a safe distance away from my layout and are fed into shredders , today i noticed the shredders wont shread the waste anymore .

Why has this happened and how can i get rid of the pellets

1) why not put the shredder next to the accelerator?
2) did you try turning the shredder off/on? Did you delete it and build a new one? Did you perhaps delete a power Line/it does not get enough Power?
If it worked before and now does not try these steps First.

You have to turn them into Encased Plutonium Cells[satisfactory.fandom.com]and turn these into Plutonium Fuel Rods[satisfactory.fandom.com]which can be sunk into the Awesome Sink.

In that case it never worked in the first place and was only 'working' until all belts and train storages filled up :')

Exactly. In which case the best approach is to delete the sink, place a few industrial storage containers down, connect them with belts (to avoid the energy production from stopping due to too much backup) and to then built the whole processing of the pellets up to plutonium fuel rods to then get sunk. Best is to built it for more than you are normally producing so that you can get rid of the backup.

thanks for all your help guys , i wrongly assumed everything was ok because i could see my nuclear waste train moving a long way off , treffix was right i guess the train was just filling up the storage containers.

The only reason i knew something was wrong was because some random unwanted items that were going into the same shredder had stopped moving.
