Any way to get my crate back? I mean if its impossible in game.
So i fell bazillion miles into nothingness of blue... My crate with most valuable items like hard-drives etc. is lost in the endless blue. How do i get it? i cant fly. Even if i could... it does not show if its up or down.. how many metres..... any other way?

I think the crate usually ends up on the nearest cliff edge to where you fell off. If that's too far down, you need to make a long foundation ramp.
Failing that, you can use a save editor like https://satisfactory-calculator.com/ to move the crate

Thanks a lot! Savegame editor helped me out. I had to lift my crate 300 meters :D
New update fixed downward ramp placement issue.. it was a nightmare but your help got me there faster.

Million thanks! And im still keeping my hands off the save editor in other aspects.

simple way, just load up your last auto save. You lose a few mins of work maybe but get your stuff back.

You've already retrieved it, but I actually ran into this problem last night and the solution was building a large tower out of foundations and jumping in the water. Gravity helped me get the bottom of the water and I retrieved my crate. (I missed/died a few times but I made a save right before my attempts.)

Well yea, i found out that there are multiple auto saves later... used it to restore trees in my base when i cut a little one but it took my whole park :D

However at this point i saw saving notice after i died so i thought that my only save is after losing the crate. Good tip tho.

HAHA dunno how large your tower was. My "communication route" few KM long and sky high, on the edge of the map was where i fell from while building a wind tunnel.

Gravity was the thing that killed me :D It was very bad situation. i think it was below water surface but there was no water. It was like endless mist but there was some sort of cliff edge where my crate landed, still below water... was a nightmare. I built downward blocks for few thousand worth of cement but never reached it.. since downward placing was so bad that this time i died multiple times trying to build my way :D it was madness.

I died in the bottomless canyon and have this issue sadly, I hope it's fixed/patched soon as its painful losing all that gear and resources :/

If you go to the interactive map section and drag your savegame in it. You can move your crate. Prolly just have to lift it. It automatically saves your file back with different name so u dont really have to worry about losing ur save. Thats how i got my crate back.

The canyon is meant to be bottomless mate, there's several of these all over the map that are designed to be the maps boundry line, the only places they dont exist is the ocean on the west which instead has a death invisible wall, the ocean north with another invisible death wall and other locations.

There's even a running joke that if you can find the "Paradise Island" in the ocean and reach it then you'll see that just beyond the Paradise Island is untextured but soon to be expanded upon mapping but going to far onto the island starts a rapid damage counter hitting you for 1.5 damage every second.

Note, Paraise Island is South West and you can see it labbed to.

it was super helpful. I couldn't remamber the height and couldn't fint my crate.
it was halfway up a cliff, on a ridge behind a rock wall :clang:
I had to move the crate it self
