Pipeline Floor Hole bug and solution

If you connect a pipe to a pipeline floor hole, and then add a pump to that segment, water will stop flowing through the pipeline floor hole. You must remove and rebuild the final segment of pipe between the floor hole and the addition. It will then function correctly.

There is another bug that occurs sometimes that makes floor holes work like pumps somehow

I found they work no matter what as long as you connect FROM the high floor pipeline TO the pipe.

I discovered this issue while working on my desert project (see screenshots). This issue only happens to me when using floor pipe connections and I placed pumps before finishing the pipeline to the end.

When connecting to a floor pipe connection that has a pump placed below it, you have to move your mouse slowly but the pipe construction hologram will actually sink into the floor connection compared to it appearing to be sitting on top. If it doesn't sink into the floor, water will not flow and the pipe between the floor connection and pump will need to be replaced.

Floor holes are not the only pipe related items that are bugged , water extractors and mk2 pipes seem to have a mind of their own. ...... 2 examples ....

1. a piece of mk 2 pipe shows empty so cant supply a machine , delete it and replace it and it works ????

2. water extactors .... i have a long line of nuke power stations , each one is oc to the max and is supplied with water from 2 oc extractors ... do the sums its enough water ..... most of the time it works but for some reason i have to add a third extractor on some nuke stations because they keep running out of water ....... identical set up different results ?????

There is of course a simple fix to your problem until the devs fix it , remove the floor panel , place the pipe where you want it and then replace floor panel , you will get a clipping warning but for the time being does it matter if you can see a pipe going through a solid floor instead of the proper connectors ....... at least you wont have to put up with connector related bugs
