and multifloored factories, sometimes adding a 2nd or third floor makes more sense than just spreading out more.
Also it can look cooler :)

I would also recommend leaving gaps between floors. Having the belts mostly hidden looks nice and clean. Plus if you need to load balance you have more space to mess around with belts.
so like hide the belts under the floor or something?

Before version 5, when you use a chain saw at a plant very close to a rock ( or a few rocks ) you were able to extract some limestone from those rocks. But in version 5, you can not get any limestone, it is just remove the rocks and get nothing in return.

I assume i'm on the update 5 because the game doesnt need an update and i can tell you that you do still get limestone

Yes. It is excellent advice to build an interstitial between floors.

You can buy a "conveyor lift floor hole" for 1 ticket in the AWESOME Shop that lets you neatly push things through floors. (You can still do it otherwise by just clipping, but the floor hole looks better.)

Basically, build a 1 or 2-wall high room under each "floor" of your factory. Use floor holes to push the materials below deck, where you'll have plenty of room to run all kinds of spaghetti without affecting the aesthetics of your factory.

But how do you get the things up into the machines? Just bring it up through the floor just beside the machines?

With a conveyor via the floor hole. Put a floor hole right behind each input and just ahead of each output.

In the screenshot, you can see that with the Assembler in the bottom right corner.
