However, to be able to play online in Satisfactory you will need to connect to EOS (Epic Online Services) either by using your public Steam ID, or optionally share the EOS connection between your Steam ID and Epic Games Account. As long as you don't want to play online/multiplayer you are not required to link any accounts or enable the EOS.
Regarding the crashes, please post the Error Message and Log here. I never heard of a crash related to linking the accounts.
Edit: And also make sure your Anti-Virus Software is not blocking any files or .exe's.
Your PC meets the minimum requirements and you do not use mods, right?
