Why do splitters now fail to stack on stackable conveyor poles??
Some work with a bit of messing but I have one that just will not snap onto the poles at all, could be one pole on it's own nothing connected or belted but still won't snap saying it's clipping and the floor is too steep (despite it being nowhere near the floor)

used to work perfectly, now it's taking more time to do these splitters than it took me to actually unlock them

The introduction of soft clearance changed the way some things interact. Splitters sitting on top of stackable poles was never an intended function i believe, so they didn't preserve it when updating clearance shenanigans

Urgh but it made things so much neater when you had a set vertical clearance rather than some fat boxes stacked on top of each other

Float the splitters away from the pole. Superficial problem solved.

Just seemed odd to me as it was more practical and made more sense to have them on a pole rather than just a fat box on another fat box lol

Plus like I said before allowed for clearance vertically

I didn't know this was ever possible.

What I always did was position an elevated splitter/merger by creating a stack of splitters/mergers. Then delete the supporting splitters/mergers and replace them with poles. Same effect, just a more cumbersome construction.

I used to leave spaces for single belts that way you could make use of the extra space if you needed it, really makes it a lot more messy now they decided to remove the option...

I hope someone makes a mod to bring it back or they change their mind, either that or they add something in for splitters/mergers
