That's the only one I know of that does anything like that.
You can always just hook up to the space elevator anyway.
fiy, thats the mod i was talking about
The first Smart Plating delivery of 50 pieces, ok fine build local, walk it over, no biggie. Beyond that, no.
Build the Space Elevator somewhere NOT near your base. That will at least give you the impetus to transport items. In the later game, you can surround it with the final project's required factories, so they output directly into the elevator.
i do a fair bit of AFK play time so i get a large stockpile quite fast relative to actual play time. also, i was not just wanting it to be harder but to take longer to progress so that im in the world for longer and basically end up building more, both to house logistics and for the sake of building something to fill in time. remember, everyone plays differently. there is no "right" or "wrong" way to play the game so long as you are having fun :)
If you want a reason to play longer an build more, force yourself to underclock everything.
The side benefit is massive power savings. A 3x split will cut your power usage in half, and a 10x split reduces it to 25% of typical.
(I don't recommend a 10% underclock for everything. I did it for a biomass-only challenge I gave myself, and after 80 hours decided it just wasn't worth it. A 33% underclock for most things and 33.33% - 16.66% for the heavy-hitters felt like a good balance, though it more-or-less killed the biomass only part when I got into Phase 4.)
When you have to build 3 times as much of everything by default, it will take about that much longer also.
