i think you need to learn to read most things were meant as suggestive not as must( its is you that is rude calling people tryhards ). instead of wasting your time answering all these post. Play my furry friend and you would a been there by now. also the 3 hours he said that is easy but if cant do that that's okay. wait till next year then i would say. patience is a golden virtue. (also mods? or save map etc etc). there ar so manny options you could do to solve this by your self with out moaning. as i said before check you tube. its less effort then moaning on here for no reason.
ok, you come to show off your speed of play and falsely call it "casual pace", then you make fun of the fact that it considers your pace of play difficult. If that is not an insult to you, then it seems that the concept of "insult" is quite subjective. In that case, I don't consider the words "tryhard" and "sweaty" an insult, my conscience is clear.
By the way, you still don't explain to me how you achieve everything I mentioned above in just 3 hours.
Hey, you have a foundry to unlock! Less forum responses, more Satisfactory tryharding!
You have mentioned several things in which I have already admitted my mistake, and other things that I have already given my opinion on. I also see that they continue to criticize me about obtaining the level 2 melter, when I never complain about that. in fact my complaint about the game was resolved hours ago, I just keep arguing with the guy who came to make fun.
It seems to me that I am not the only one who should learn to read.
And about wasting time here, I have my reasons. (Believe me that if I could be playing now I wouldn't be here) and tell me: why are you wasting your time here?
I didn't know the game had mods, XD.
You've got a victim complex, man. You should get that checked.
look who's talking about the victim complex
and I'm still waiting for the explanation
It's clear you have no intention of having a discussion in good faith anymore now that your whole response boils down to "No U". Stay salty, and enjoy the coal from ADA. Merry FICSMAS.
3 hours is very realistic if you focus on getting to it as fast as possible. A speedrun would be below an hour if you go by the latest speedruns from youtube.
On my current save I got to coal power in just over 5 hours while playing very leisurely, meaning I automated everything essential material up to that point and made it look relatively orderly for a starter base. I unlocked steel right after that. I've played the beginning of the game probably like 10 times by now so I know what to do.
My fastest time was 2 hours and 40 minutes. How do I know? There was a thread some time ago from a guy who complained it takes too long to get to coal. So I did a fresh run where I tried getting to coal asap. I didn't use any speedrun tricks with awesome sink, just played normally, I just did things fast. It wasn't the fastest run either since I didn't plan anything at all.
So yes, it is entirely feasible for an experienced player to get to steel in 3 hours if you don't waste time and try to move fast. Is that casual pace? I wouldn't call it casual, but it's not a speedrun either. A speedrun could do it under an hour for sure with help of the Awesome sink.
Regardless, OP is obviously being a drama queen and playing the victim card after being proven completely wrong by people who know what they're talking about. The event is not for tryhards only, it can be easily completed by a casual player with some knowledge of the game. The end.
If you have an idea of how much of each resource you need it doesnt sound that hard to achieve. If you just skip building any surplus systems to mass produce plates, bolts and concrete there isnt a huge amount of stuff you need to produce for each tier. Especially if you know your way around the map and can quickly snag up some starting resources from crash sites before seting up a starting spot just to beeline some tech.
There are a lot of things to get side tracked by that you dont actually need get done before foundries (and I view that as a good property of the game). :)
Once I finish up work for the night and get some breakfast in me, I'll do a "Foundry Unlock Any %" attempt. To keep it fair, I won't skip onboarding, nor grab any materials from drop pod locations.
Nice, Im interested to learn your results. :) If I wasnt on a work trip and stuck at a small motell with no computer untill X-mas Id want to try for myself as well.
Yeah, that's what I meant. If you don't get sidetracked by any of these things, and you make a beeline for the Foundry, is it really a casual pace? Especially for a new player, as in the case of the OP.
Now now, did anyone claim it was easy to do for a new player? If so I will ask you to point out who made that claim.
Claiming that its easy to do, and claiming it would be easy for a new player to do are two very different claims. A "new player" can mean very different things. Someone can be new to Satisfactory but a veteran to Factorio and pick up on things very quickly. Another type of player can be new to video games entierly. Everyone has a first video game ever, for some people that will be Satisfactory.
Learning that something you personally had to struggle with can either sound condescending or reassuring depending on how its phrased and how you decide to receive the statement. For someone worried they would miss out on the Ficsmas event because they were new to the game it should (imo) be viewed as good news that the content isnt actually locked behind hundreds of hours of gameplay if you just do things in the right order. :)
