All we know know is Ficsit sent us here to mine resources and manufacture supplies, to feed "Project Assembly".

We don't know what that is, the game story should be coming in v1.0

One of my theory's is that FICSIT sees the workers as property shown when you take damage and some info that could add to the amount of how F***ed up that is is that the characters cannon (I think) sex is female

I was mostly talking about what could happen like that alien voice telling us to pick up alien items, It has a high probability that is FICSIT saying that or someone or something is override what you hear and is speaking to you to either help or not help FICSIT in Project assembly.
It feels that we were sent to just mass produce goods for an already greedy company and the artifacts may not even be known to exist; so a cool idea I have personally is that somehow with your idea to is that the artifacts may actually be good guys trying to help us escape the evil megacorporation; if so it makes sense that they are using events that are made up such as other employees are closing in, or that earth is in chaos or other things combined that when you think of the words used...

President of earth.
Ficsit is ran by a president.

While I might be wrong it sounds like Ficsit might actually be more then a massive megacorporation and that saving the earth is actually a lore piece thats out of context right now; meaning that the wide spread chaos is not actually going on and that the president has no idea the artifacts exist but the artifacts are like intelligent solids that know a way to free humans or something idk xD

Reminds me a bit of Oblivion... FICSIT is run by an advanced AI / civilisation that desperately needs resources (be it for expanding or simply repairing the ageing fleet of space crafts) but it's more efficient to let "pioneer clones" do the work for them on various planets, while at the same time sees the need to give these clones a sense of self-worth and naturally the illusion of free-will.

I just hope it doesn't turn into a story copy of the good doctor on the Voyager, where his holographic (brother) clones are somehow being "abused" and set to scrub radioactive plasma fields or to mine dangerous asteroid belts... and then you need to "free" these female clones.

Getting tired of that story angle as of late, just shows a severe lack of creativity...

I meant the voice telling you to pick them up (Probably FICSIT) but yeah

I get the impression that the alien artifacts have some sort of psychic influence and seem to want to be picked up. Many can be found in what look like primitive shrines. The implications of this is both disturbing and intriguing, making me all the more curious how they will factor into the full game. Or if they will simply be left as anomalous objects for us to collect. I know it's silly but hearing them always gives me the creeps.

I found animals by the power slugs so they might want it just some info to add
Thanks for all the help i dont know much and im only on tier 3-4 so this really helps

Ficsit is a part of a company. There is Management & Research (The lead ship), Exploration & Transport (the second ship) and then there is Resource & Transport (This is you). Each ship has a sub-management employee who is grafted into the core of the ship (the voice you keep hearing). Each ship clones employees to 'clean' planetoids, asteroids and star clusters of artefacts, SAM ore and load up on minerals.
The planetoid you have visited was deemed as extremely hostile by Exploration and bypassed by Research because of solar flares, but not before they lost a small exploration team on it. No SAM ore or artefacts were taken by Transport and a large amount of machinery (Exploration & Transport) and an AI core (research property) were left on the planet.
Your grafted sub-employee (who has gone quite mad!) sees an opportunity for a 'hostile takeover' of the lead ship using the AI, Sam ore and artefacts. It can use these deposits to build a FTL drive, catching up with the lead ship and using codes on the AI core to download itself over the sub-employee on the lead ship.

After failing to land a Ficsit employee on the planetoid multiple times (all those crash sites) a clone (you) finally safely made planetfall...

I've had a lot of time to think about this... X)

If the new voice overs are anything to go by, she speaks out of turn in regard to artifacts, like it is not business policy, let alone the fake 'hey this doc needs artifacts or he'll die'. If the company wanted the artifacts, surely they would make a formal approach.

She seems like a 'dormant' glados. either way i'll be happy with the direction.

When you load the game, "HUD OS" pops up on the screen. HUD OS is almost assuredly short for "Heads Up Display: Operating System". It occurred to me recently that that implies we're playing as an android or robot created by FICSIT and controlling it from a distance, which would be a cool bit of meta storytelling since we're controlling the character in game, thereby inserting the player into the story.

This would explain why, upon being injured, the game informs us that FICSIT property is being damaged. I think the main twist of the story will be the player finding out that despite looking like a human, our character is not.

It would also explain why the special WIP objects can be heard by the player: it's broadcasting a signal to the android player or potentially even hacking into our digital minds.

My guess (completely unsupported) is that the artifacts are the planet itself (or facilitate communication with it, at least) and getting enough artifacts will increase your ability to communicate with the planet. Once you get enough (and pass tier 10 or whatever), it will trigger an endgame which will be to destroy all the tech you've built on the planet or sabotage the project because you're hurting the planet by exploiting it so quickly and ruthlessly.

So, basically, the planet is tricking you into picking up artifacts in the hope that it can eventually convince you to stop doing what you're doing.

Alternate "ending" -- you ignore the planet and complete the project which causes the pioneer to become dissembled (she/it is a construct? right?). Fiscsit is efficient after all.
