Truck doesn't take full load when loading.
I setup two stations, one of them has barrels of oil coming in. The truck arrives, takes about half of what it can hold, and goes away instead of taking the maximum possible it can transport.

I don't get why, any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Because bugs. They supposedly fixed that in the last patch.

Ah ok :/

Haven't fiddled with them in a while. The last version I played and got around to using the trucks was when you would record your round trips completely including the time. I remember doing a recording where I stop at each station and park there for like a whole minute as it filled up.

Dunno if the systems have changed since then, but try doing a recording which includes you sitting at the depot waiting to fill.

Did you turn on the path markers and check the pauses at each truck station? You can manually edit the amount of time a truck will wait at the stations.

Check the wait time (pause node) for your truck path.
Loading gets interrupted due to short waiting time.
I find that 20 seconds is enough for a truck to be able to get fully loaded from a station.

Sure would be nice if they had a "Wait until Full" setting... like in MOST logistics games. Railroad Tycoon II had this mechanic figured out... IN 1998! A little more control over shipping would go a long way.

Yeh the logic is abit broken for trucks, Ialso find making them stop/pause for 20-30 seconds helps fix the issue. Usually I end up having to do manual runs until I get trains working. Or having very long belts..

How do you program the truck or tractor to begin with? I haven't been able to figure that out yet. Haven't seen in game instruction for it either.

How to set up a Tractor/Truck route:
1. You put fuel in it
2. Get in and record a route
3. Complete the loop to finish recording
4. Back up a bit
5. Get out and edit or remove nodes
6. Get back in to turn on autopilot
7. Jump out one last time and get out of the way (that last part is very important, unless you want to be run over)

additionally be sure that you have Show Nodes enabled otherwise you will get rather frustrated looking for the Route Nods along your supply line.
in your case OP, the only node you should be fiddling with at this time is the "start/stop" node that actually appears as a pause icon. accessing this node allows you to assign a pause for as long as you need it. if you have a stopwatch, just do a manual run and time how long it takes to fully load the Tractor/Truck because it does matter quite a bit. i even go so far as to time my entire run even before actually recording the route. i found that was easier to calculate how long my Tractors/Trucks need to sit idle at the stations to load/unload all cargo.

I miss the days when Trucks could load and unload on the move just by being inside the station's perimeter.

Thankfully, it still works that way with fuel. But, gone are the days of drive-by-loading through a row of stations.

I kinda do and don't. I like being able to drive down "truck station central" and not un/load until I get to a specific destination. Also, that perimeter box was a bit big, and if you try to shave that corner, you either end up with peanut butter in your chocolate or chocolate in your peanut butter. If it catches you snoozin', you end up with a mystery jam.
Also, I like to park the truck at its loading station until needed, rather than the unloading station, so that when the timer cycle completes, the receiving station should be hungry and the loading station full. I didn't mind parking at the receiving station for however long it takes to fill and make the return trip, but just for the sake of clutter, I prefer to have it parked at home.

Ah, good, I could have sworn I recalled that. I remember noticing that even the animation was just decorative, that it didn't even need to remotely complete before truck was full.
