However the reason I really want this to be added is that with proper implementation we should be able to choose between 1st person or 3rd person with the press of a button. This would solve my main gripe with the game which is the forced jumps from 1st to 3rd person when using vehicles or hypertubes which really breaks immersion.
Personally, if this game was 3rd person perspective only I would never have even considered buying it and I am sure there are people out there who have avoided this game because of the 1st person perspective.
Some of them ijnclude lack of mobility, very late and incongruous coal and oil location, inability to immediately view where components are, awkward progression, lack of building packages or even pre-fabbed buildings, very poor main character mobility, the fact that you need to gather flowers for about the first few hours of the game to feed your base, lack of biomass delivery automation, lack of normal segway-style tech, awkward conveyor belt planning, very awkward tiering, unnecessary violent encounters with resource guardians, useless and moronic-looking fauna in general, inability to blueprint and properly plan production lines before deployment, very awkward building placement, non-expandable inventory, lack of programmable warnings about resource deficits, lack of any resource deficit warnings, period...
The list, I'm afraid, goes on and on and on, and most of the things on it are completely secondary when you consider playing from first person view, since it can be waved off as immersion stuff.
It's not.
I feel in this instance the problem is the player rather than the game.
Came here to see if there's a way to move the camera to 3rd person, apparently I'm not the only one having issues. Would love to play the game, but not at the cost of being queasy the whole time.
